There are three lakes at Petit Pretre. The main lake is approx seven acres with depths ranging from 3 to 11ft.

This is the only lake that will be operational during the 2008 season. The other lakes will be excavated and prepared for the 2009 and 2010 seasons respectively, ensuring that our visitors will be able to return and experience the new facilities being developed each year.

Extensive work on the main lake has already been carried out. This now needs to be comlimented by clearing paths, cutting back trees and creating large comfortable swims using on-site materials to ensure they blend in with the beautiful surroundings.

The main lake will be restocked to include a large selection of carp ranging in size up to about 40 lbs.

We plan to build 14 swims on the main lake but restrict usage to a maximum of seven anglers at any one time. All paths and swims will be covered with bark chippings and will have its own lockable storage facilities to store rod bags, luggage, buckets and bait to save squeezing them all into the bivvy. Also each swim will have a bin and watering can for wetting the fish and the lucky captor!
